Meghan Markle and Princess Beatrice’s surprising shoes at Queen’s funeral – did you realize it?

Queen Elizabeth IIThe state funeral took place on Monday September 19 at Westminster Abbey, the same place where the Queen married her beloved husband Prince Philip more than 75 years ago. There were 2,000 guests present, including his family.

We noticed that the majority of the royal ladies all wore towering stilettos in varying shades of black. This surprised us, as these types of high heels are known to be quite uncomfortable, especially when standing for long periods of time.

However, the royal ladies endured Her Majesty’s pain, paying tribute in their elegant attire.

The Princess of Wales led the way by opting for a black coat dress by Alexander McQueen with a pair of Gianvito suede stiletto pumps. She added a wide-brimmed Philip Treacy hat accompanied by a subtle veil.

Duchess Meghan embraced royal mourning etiquette by donning an elegant black cape dress by Stella McCartney. Featuring a crisp boater neckline, batwing sleeves and a midi length, the garment was an appropriate yet sophisticated choice for the emotional event. Prince Harry’s wife donned a pair of Stuart Wiseman pointed pumps to complete her chic look.

The Queen’s eldest granddaughter, Zara Tindall, wore a black coat dress by Laura Green London, paired with a pair of Emmy London suede pumps. She accessorized with a Juliette Millinery black applique floral hat.

Princess Beatrice wore a Louis Vuitton dress and a cropped The Kooples tuxedo.

Princess Eugenie looked stunning in her understated and elegant outfit, wearing a black double wool twill coat by Day Birger and Mikkelsen.
